Man fatally shot in torso in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was killed after being shot in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday on the 2500 block of North Chadwick Street.

Upon arrival, police discovered an unresponsive man who had been shot multiple times in the torso.

Police identified the victim as 60-year-old James Bigelow.

He was transported to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police say the suspect was last scene fleeing the scene in a dark-colored SUV.

The vehicle was later located unoccupied at 21st and Nedro streets.

No arrests have been made.

Police are offering a $20,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
